Dining Room Decor: "Bless the Food Before Us" Wall Prints
After updating the chandelier and getting most of the decor started in the dining room, I started looking for ideas to decorate the walls. I do most of my searching, planning, decorating, you name it by getting inspiration on Pinterest and Etsy. I found a cute little set of prints on Etsy that I thought would be very dining room appropriate - a blessing that said: "Bless the food before us, the family beside us, the home around us and the love between us. Amen." It had four printable PDFs that I thought I might print off at Costco and put into frames. I mean, how cute - and for $11 for the full set!
But as I started searching for frames, I wanted to get something a little larger to take up more of the room and thought that printing them through Smallwoods would be a fun option after seeing their products when shopping for the piece we have above the fireplace, We have a lot of wood signs around the house, so I thought this could help tie things in better. They had a really easy online ordering system that I did from my phone with these prints! I could get taller vertical frames that matched my dining room table.
I just love these prints and having this blessing on the wall in the dining room. I would have never thought I would want to have a formal dining room, but we've really enjoyed having another table for large family gatherings. Between our Marketplace find expandable kitchen table and this one that we've had for ages that also has a hidden leaf, we can get a lot of people fed at one time now!
I'm still working on my extra exciting plans for the opposite wall. I got inspired during my search for these but needed to get some help from others to complete it. Stay tuned! That's one blog post I can't wait to write!
