Quick Fix: Main Level Doors Are Finally Painted!
We finally got the three main level doors painted! Painting all of the trim and walls in this house has been a multi-year labor of love as we have been working to get rid of all of the orange wood.
These three doors are right off the kitchen, and as a group - they were still very much living out their orange glory.
As we're winding down the basement work (and we have some big updates to come very soon on that!) we lost steam and decided we had done enough DIY so we cheated and hired out the job. And boy am I so glad we did!
The guys at Team Midwest Paint came by on a Friday morning, took all the doors off the hinges and took them with them to their shop.
Literally 24 hours later, they returned with our beautifully painted doors and reinstalled
them. On a Saturday even!
We had them match the trim paint to keep the white tones consistent since our white is a creamier blend - Sherwin Williams White Flour.
Again - the amazing power of paint helps us say GOODBYE to more orange. The before and after is so very satisfying.
This isn't a typical "quick fix" post, but since we cheated and hired the job out, it was definitely quick! And I'd do it all over again for this 24-hour fix! Definitely recommend the guys at Team Midwest Paint if you're in the market in Central Iowa.
